- A Day At Work -

My workday:
Alarm goes off at 6:30 a.m. I push snooze. Alarm goes off at 6:35 a.m. I push snooze again. Alarm goes off at 6:40 a.m. Depending on what time i went to bed I get up, or i push snooze.
I try to find something to wear. Stupid business casual dress code. I want to wear jeans. If I can't find something new to wear, I look in Brittneys closet for something new to wear.
I take about five minutes total to do my hair and makeup. No, I don't look that great...but at least I don't look like i just got out of bed anymore.
Drive to work. I work 15 minutes away from home. Rushhour traffic keeps me in my car for at least 30 minutes, sometimes more.
Show up at work on-time. Everyone I work with seems to think this is odd. The next person usually gets here about 8:10. Sit at my desk, turn on my computer.
Enter EMT reports. For four straight hours. Report after report after report. Most of them are the same thing, every now and then I get a DOA. A few heartattacks, some rape cases, and my least favorite...suicide or suicide threats. Those ones make me uneasy.
At 12 I go to lunch. Lunch choices are as follows: Crown Burger. Yeah, that's it. Today I walked to a gas station for food. If i was smart I'd bring something... I'm not.
At 1 I'm back to those super cool EMT reports.
At two I'm walking around my office trying to keep my eyes open and staying as far as possible from that big plush couch.
At three o'clock the countdown begins. 2 more hours... 1 hour and 50 minutes... 1 hour and 45 minutes, and so on...for the rest of the day.
At four o'clock I begin texting my boyfriend the countdown. 1 hour... 59 minutes... (I swear I get work done too)
At 4:50 I start putting stuff away.
I'm out the door at 04:59:59.
That awesome feeling of freedom doesn't last very long. Stupid Rushhour traffic.
I go home, I eat, I sleep, I play.
I know it doesn't sound like it...but i do like my job. A lot. ----------------------------------------------------------
Today is Brittneys graduation! I can't believe it's been two years since I walked. I haven't done anything I wanted to do with my life yet, and I've done a lot of things I swore I would never do already. Damn.
Well, back to work. :D
